Original late Victorian Gibson girl portrait pin captures the iconic elegance of the Art Nouveau eras. The finely detailed brooch features a young woman with up-swept hair and delicate facial features, embodying the poise and beauty of the Gibson Girl ideal. Crafted in warm-toned brass metal, the piece is adorned with flowing lines and organic motifs. I would have thought that the Brooch was definitely Art Nouveau but it has a safety clasp attached so I it is possible it is an Art Nouveau Revival.
The Brooch is slightly bent at the ends which gives it a convex shape and makes it stand out from your clothes. It measures 4 inches across and 1 3/4 inches from top to bottom.
